My name is Barry van Wyk, retired and passionate about fishing.

All my lures are handmade from wood recovered from the sea many years ago. The wood is fine grained and soft enough to carve but also has great buoyancy. The lures are made with 1.6 mm stainless steel through wire which is locked into the lure. The lures are double coated with clear epoxy for waterproofing and protection. Lead of various weights is fitted to the belly which allows for a natural swim action. Garrick, Kingies and Shad can be targeted, with a rod tip down and fast retrieve twitching action.
